Day 1Reach Leh and Rest

Take a Morning flight from Delhi to Ladakh.

To avoid AMS (Acute Mountaineering Syndrome) take rest the full day in your hotel.

Day 2Leh Sightseeing

It is advisable to take rest till lunch. Surely, you can’t take any chance with AMS as it can be fatal.

Post lunch you can visit the Vishwa Shanti Stupa – One of the seven Buddhist Shanti Stupas across the world, the Shanti Stupa in Leh, Leh is an abode of peace and serenity. The purely white, dome shaped structure towers two storeys high above the surrounding landscape. Set against the backdrop of the surrounding mountains of Leh, the Stupa commands excellent views of the scenic locale. Although the beautifully pristine architecture of the structure makes it a marvel during the daytime, the beauty of the Stupa is further compounded during the evening hours when it is lit up from the inside.

Day 3Leh to Nubra Valley

Today after breakfast you can start from Leh. Leh to Nubra Valley is about 160 KM or 100 miles and takes around 5-6 hours

Famous for its white sand deserts and double-humped camels, Nubra Valley is certainly one of the best places to visit in Ladakh. Not just the scenic slopes of Karakoram range but also the confluence of Shyak and Siachen rivers is what makes Nubra valley an exquisite voyage!

On the way to the Nubra Valley, cross the famous Khardunga La – The pass is a gateway to the Nubra as well as Shyok valley and is one of the most elevated motorable terrains worldwide. Interestingly, the roads were opened in 1988 for vehicles to pass through. It is the highest motorable road in the world at 18,390 feet. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range and north to the giants of the Saser massif.

Overnight at Nubra Valley.

Day 4Nubra Valley to Leh

After breakfast, enjoy a bactarian camel safari in the Hunder region of Nubra valley. Enjoy the rustic beauty of the region during the camel ride.

Once done, proceed towards Leh. It is about 160 KM or 100 miles and takes around 5-6 hours

On the way you can visit Diskit Monastery, Samstanling Gompa, Yarab Tso Lake, and the villages of Turtuk and Panamik.

Overnight at hotel.

Day 5Day Trip to Pangong Lake

Today after breakfast enjoy a day trip to the mesmerizing Pangong Lake.

It is about 240 KM or160 miles and takes approx 6 hours

Pangong Lake is amongst the most popular tourist attractions in Ladakh. This breathtaking blue brackish lake is situated at 14000 feet above sea level. It is 5 kms wide and over 133 kms long with half of it running to the other side of Indo- China border. During the day you can see numerous ducks and gulls flying around the lake.

Return back to your in Ladakh in the evening (If you have at least a day more, we suggest you to stay near the Pangong Lake. Thus you can see the beauty of the lake during sunrise and sunset.)

Day 6Leh Sightseeing

Today after breakfast you can visit various monastries and palaces in Ladakh.

Hemis Monastery – It is the most popular and richest monastery in Ladakh. It lies on the banks of the Indus river. The monastery houses a copper-gilt statue of Lord Buddha, numerous stupas made of gold and silver, sacred thangka paintings, and other objects of religious importance.

Thiksey Monastery- Its around 5 kms ahead of Shey complex. Thiksey Monastery is a 15th century monastery. It is famous for its resemblance to the Potala Palace in Tibet.

Shey Palace and Monastery – Situated at a distance of only 15 km, Stok or Shey Palace is found in the Stok Village. It is famously known as the summer home to the royal family of Leh. It is housed in the same complex as the palace. The monastery is famous for its 39 ft tall Shakyamuni Buddha statue made of gold and copper and covering three storeys of the monastery.

Alchi Monastery – Known as the oldest monastery in Ladakh, Alchi Monastery is basically a monastic complex situated in Alchi Village in Leh District. This is also perhaps one of the only places in the world where you can actually get a chance to look at the cells in which monks spend their lives. Due to its history and beauty tourists love coming here.

You can also enjoy river rafting in the Indus-Zanskar river. It is one of the most thrilling experience at such an high altitude amidst a stunning landscape.

Day 7Leh to Delhi

Today after breakfast checkout.

Drive to airport and take flight back to Delhi.
