This is the easiest option as there are many direct flights from Delhi to Leh’s Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. The flight in itself is quite unique and sensational. On a clear day from one side of the aircraft can be seen in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum and on the other side of the aircraft, so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it, is Nun Kun Massif. It’s not a long flight and the city is just around 20 minutes from the airport.
If you are flying from any other part of India, it is advisable to reach one day prior to Delhi, stay in a hotel near to the hotel and take the next day morning flight to Ladakh. This option is time saving and for those who don’t like road travel extensively and want to spend their time in Ladakh only.
