The boarding of the ship starts around 10 AM from Kochi Wharf. Once on board, you you will check-in to your respective cabin or couple. Around 2 PM, the ship starts from Kochi.Â
When the passengers have settled in the evening, you will enjoy entertainment shows on board. It shows the history of Lakshadweep to the tourists via a short film. Through this, you will be informed about the flora and fauna of the islands, coral reefs, and its management. The short film will also talk about the ban on picking up corals, using plastics and ways to keep the islands clean. The next three days, the cruise reaches one new island each morning. Then the whole day you unwind yourself in the islands. Then again before sunset, in the evening, you will return back to the ship. Typically, this is a 5-day trip. On the first day, you get onboard from Kochi and set out for the islands. On the last day, you return to Kochi in the morning. You visit 3 exotic islands of Lakshadweep in the 3 days in between. YOu visit 3 of the 4 islands – Minicoy, Kavaratti, Kadmat and Kalpeni.Â
The Minicoy Island is supposed to be the most beautiful Island in the Lakshadweep. Its lagoon is very famous. Here, you can enjoy a lot of water sports like kayaking, deep sea swimming and take scuba diving lessons. Another point of observation is the lighthouse on the island.Â
In Kavaratti, the beautiful and calm lagoon offers an ideal spot for water sports, swimming and snorkeling. Sunbathing or just lazing around on the beach can be a heady experience. If you are a marine life enthusiast, you can visit the marine aquarium. It has an excellent collection of aquatic specimens.Â
Beside the water sports activities, in Kalpeni island, one can just relax and sunbathe on this island. This island also has a lighthouse, which is 37 meter in height and offers a beautiful view. You can also enjoy folk dances on this island.
While in Kadmat, the reefs are the main crowd puller here. In fact, sailing is widely done by visitors. The other attraction being the long sandy beaches and sand banks on the southern tip. The ship offers 150 first class berths, with two in each room. The Lakshadweep cruise accommodates up to 700 passengers.
