Day 2Wildlife Safaris

Jim Corbett National Park India has been a haunt for tourists and wildlife lovers for a long time. Tourism activity is only allowed in selected areas of the best Tiger Reserve in India so that people get an opportunity to see its landscape and wildlife. The tourists can take the jeep safaris to cover the park to explore the wildlife in India.
Divided into 4 zones – Bijrani, Jhirna, Dhela and Dhikala which is the largest of the zones.

Early morning, you can take a jeep safari to Dhikala zone. These safaris are exclusive, in the sense that there will not be anyone else in the jeep apart from your family. This is a great experience, where the excitement is high as any time you can catch sight of interesting animals including tiger or, at least the pug marks. Also it is the largest zone and most prominent for tiger sightings.

Come back to the resort for rest and lunch.

In the evening take another jeep safari from the resort to Jhirna zone, which is a prominent part of Corbett Tiger Reserve. If you are lucky you will be able to catch sight of the tiger. Otherwise, you would be able to see lots of other animals in the wild like deer, bison, elephants, wild boar etc.

Overnight stay in the resort.

Day 3Wildlife Safaris

Today you can do other zones or the same ones. However, it is not necessary that you cover all the zones. Sometimes, you would fine a lot of wildlife in a particular zone and , hence, would want to return back to it for another safari. Since the National Park is huge and the zones are spread across, a lot would depend on the resort you put up. For example, it really does not make sense to go to a zone which would take 2 – 3 hours from your resort

Bijrani Zone – Today take a morning safari to Bijrani Zone. It is famous for sighting elephants, monkeys, chital and deer. The forest is covered with Sal trees.

In the evening take another jeep for another round of sighting of wildlife in India in the best national park in India. You can go on a safari to the Durga Devi Zone. It is famous for birds sightings and a thus a must visit for bird lovers. Besides this, it is the very zone where the endangered Mahseer fish come for breeding.

Overnight back at the hotel.

Day 4Depart Jim Corbett National Park

After breakfast proceed to checkout from resort.

Visit Corbett museum – It is the heritage property of Jim Corbett, the man behind the making of Corbett who was a renowned hunter turned environmentalist. The display in the museum are carefully maintained skeletons of animals and some belongings of Jim Corbett like personal articles, paintings, sketches, manuscripts and last hunt of its own.

Depending on the airport (Delhi, Dehradun or Pantnagar) for your flight back, you can start from your resort in Jim Corbett National Park.

We had a great time in Jim Corbett National Park. INDIA Trotter provided us an exclusive jeep safari, which we wanted. The guide was amazing. A lot of our experience depending on how to coordinated the safaris. We missed the tiger by a few minutes. We saw the fresh pig marks..it gave us goosebumps. Thanks for the great service, Team INDIA Trotter…
