I paid them greater than US$1000 for a 2.5 day trip to Pushkar, India based on an itinerary which was canceled by them two days before the trip. They told us there would be a hot air balloon ride even they knew this hadn't been offered for years. They told us there would be a kite flying contest. I paid this money assuming I would get a "guide" for a "tour" but the first day they dumped the group in a desert without food, water, or guidance for 3 hours. No food was included and they assumed we only wanted to eat at the hotel (*greater than four times at the same hotel restaurant*). The list goes on. Any fun I had on this trip was despite their attempts to obstruct it. I was completely defrauded by this company due to them asking for money based on a plan which did not happen. The tour guide was essentially an auxiliary bus driver and seemed to have a disdain for tourists which was not subtle. We enlisted India Trotter's help to plan a week-long trip traveling between Delhi, Agra and Jaipur, and we are so thankful we did so! Their assistance with transportation logistics alone made the purchase worth it for us, but we also greatly appreciated being paired with local guides in each of the cities. The communication via WhatsApp was extremely helpful and always very responsive, which made coordinating with our guides and drivers very simple. We loved the gifts of the local souvenirs as well! Overall, we really felt like we were in good hands with this company, and we greatly appreciated the detailed, flexible itinerary that was built for us for each city. I have done a lot of traveling in India, but have never been so thoroughly immersed in the culture of a place nor as well taken care of as when we traveled to Amritsar with India Trotter. They are fantastic and really understand expat travellers needs and expectations. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.

All the India trotter staff were beyond helpful on our month long trip to India, they seamlessly arranged what could have been a complicated trip to the lakshadweep islands for me and later my partner to join me, helped us book an amazing trip to the Periyar tiger reserve and organised a fantastic overnight stay on a Kochi houseboat. They even went the extra mile to help us book trains as this was challenging to do online as foreigners. Communication was a top priority and they were available at all hours on WhatsApp for any questions. We will be forever grateful for their excellent guidance, advice, assistance and an unforgettable trip, I could not recommend them more! When we return to India we will definitely go straight to India trotter to help us!
