Jaisalmer is the Desert City of India, situated on the border of the Thar Desert of Rajasthan. So, most of the heritage buildings in the region are made of yellow sandstone. It looks like each evening Jaisalmer glows gold in the setting sun. In fact, it is called the Golden City.

Things to See in jaisalmer: When you are in Jaisalmer, you should visit Jaisalmer Fort , Haveli Hopping, Explore Village of Kuldhara, Boating at Gadi Sagar Lake, Discover Bada Bagh, Shopping in local markets.

Duration of Stay: If you have 2 full day in Jaisalmer, that should cover almost all the places. You can spend one full day in the city going to the forts and other places. The other day you can spend in the desert like camel safari and dune bashing. So, try to spend two to three nights in the beautiful city. But we thought of listing something that is very much in Rajasthan and yet has a distinct flavor of its own – the Ranthambore National Park. It is one of the best Parks in the India to spot tigers.

What you can find in Ranthambore National Park: Apart from tigers, you can spot leopard, jungle cat, caracal, striped hyena, Indian jackal, chital, sambhar, Nilgai, Chinkara, four-horned antelope, wild boar, hare, Langur, rhesus monkeys. Jeep safari is the best way to observe wildlife within Ranthambore National Park.

How to reach: It can be covered during your trip to the Golden Triangle when you can take a detour when coming from Agra to Jaipur.

Duration: If you are planning to Visit Ranthambore National Park, you should spend at least one night for the evening and morning safaris. If you have some more time, you can spend another extra night. Its a nice place to unwind amidst nature. If you have children with you try to spend two nights…children love safaris and wildlife!
