Agra - The City of the Taj Mahal

Agra is a heritage city of India that was founded in the 16th century by Sikander Lodhi and was later captured by the Mughals. Each of these influenced the city’s culture and the impact of all can be seen in Agra’s architecture, art, crafts, music, dance, and even food.

Varanasi - The Soul of India

Ajanta Ellora Caves

Ajanta and Ellora caves, considered to be one of the finest examples  of ancient rock-cut caves are located near Aurangabad in the state of Maharashtra, India. Adorned with beautiful sculptures, paintings and frescoes, Ajanta and Ellora caves are an amalgamation of Buddhist, Jain and Hindu monuments as the complex includes both Buddhist monasteries as well as Hindu and Jain temples.

The Ajanta caves are 29 in number and were built in the period between 2nd century BC and the 6th century AD whereas the Ellora Caves are more spread out and 34 in number and dates to the period between 6th and 11th Century AD. Ajanta and Ellora caves are designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Sites and are quite popular among travelers from all over the world.

Khajuraho - The Land of the Kamasutras

Countless sculptures of cult icons, demi-gods, and Apsaras that depict love, grace, beauty, delicacy, sensuality, and eroticism can be seen the temples of Khajuraho. Some must visit places are the temples of  Kandariya Mahadev, Parsvanath, Visvanath, Devi Jagadamba, Vamana, Duladeo, Chitragupta, and Bijamandala have put the city in the list of the seven wonders of India. Tourists can attend the Sound and Light Show that portrays the tale of the Chandela dynasty  and visit Ajaigarh Fort and Archeological Museum.

Udaipur - The City of Lakes
