Planning a Perfect Golden Triangle Trip
You begin your Golden Triangle Tour by arriving in Delhi early morning. Then, our driver will pick you from the airport. After that, proceed towards Agra for the grand Taj Mahal or Agra Mahal (though much less used). It is about 250 km or 155 miles and takes about 5-6 hours.
By the time you would reach Agra, it would be lunch time. Go straight to Taj Mahal.
The Taj Mahal: The Taj Mahal is a Mughal mausoleum of white marble with phenomenal beauty. During sunset the white marbles of The Taj Mahal turn crimson red, which is worth a visit. Thus, you will experience its ethereal beauty of the grand The Taj Mahal. It is also known as the Agra Mahal.
After that Proceed towards Jaipur. On reaching Jaipur, check-in at the hotel. This Golden Triangle Tour is a bit hectic with Taj Mahal or Agra Mahal and Jaipur Rajasthan all packed in two days . Next day there are quite a few things to see like Jal Mahal, City Palace of Jaipur Rajasthan and much more. So, we suggest you at least a 3 Day Golden Triangle Tour.
After breakfast, you may check-out from the hotel. Then you can visit the different forts and palaces in Jaipur. While Agra was mainly about Taj Mahal mosque, there are lots to see in Jaipur India. As you visit you will realise, these are some of the best architectures in Jaipur India.
Amber Fort, also known as Amer Fort : Constructed of red sandstone and marble, the attractive, this opulent palace is laid out on four levels, each with a courtyard. Located high on a hill, it is the principal tourist attraction in Jaipur. It was the main residence of the celebrated Rajput kings and their families. The fort is famed for its architectural brilliance. You can take an elephant ride, which takes you to the entrance of the Amber Fort.
Sheesh Mahal: It is located inside Amber Fort. The beauty of this palace lies in the fact that even if a small ray of light enters, it naturally lights up the whole palace. And all this while reflecting in all the other mirrors.
Hawa Mahal : This marvelous architecture is constructed of red and pink sandstone. This palace was built for the royal women to get a glimpse of the daily events. Apart from the daily events, they would also watch the royal processions and festivals.
City Palace of Jaipur: The City Palace of Jaipur was established at the same time as the city of Jaipur, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber, in 1727. This was built as a residence for the royal families. The palace has a sequence of gardens, buildings, courtyards, temples and museums, which gives it a grand view and reflects the historical importance and magnificent royal grace.
