In fact, Mysore Palace now one of the most famous tourist attractions in India. In fact, after the Taj Mahal, it is the most visited monument in India with more than 6 million annual visitors. Historically, it is the official residence of the Wadiyar dynasty and the seat of the Kingdom of Mysore. The palace is in the centre of Mysore, and faces the Chamundi Hills eastward. The Rulers of Mysore built the actual palace in the 15th century. However, an unfortunate fire outbreak gutted it. Then they rebuilt a new revamped one from 1897 and 1912, which the visitors see today.

The Jagmohan Palace is another charming palace in Mysore. the Wodeyars, who were the rulers of  Mysore, built it in 1861. At that time is was their official residence. Needless to say, the spotless white palace is a feast to the eyes of the onlookers.
