Shopping in Delhi

Chandni Chowk

It is an old bazaar which was created by Emperor Shah Jahan. This market was thronged by Turkish, Chinese and Mediterranean merchants over 3 centuries ago. However, today it is a haven for food lovers, antique lovers, book nerds and idyllic shoppers who want to peruse old and new timeless pieces at length in the crowded streets. 

Chor Bazar or the thief’s market is literally filled with items that are either stolen or second-hand. From electronics to home decor, you can find everything here. Chatta Chowk is the place for women to shop for jewelry, cosmetics, clothing, personal care items, etc.

Not to miss, Do stop by at Parathawali Gali to eat some of the best parathas (stuffed, fried bread) and other local fare.

Delhi Haat

An initiative by the Delhi government, Delhi Haat is a shopping market for standard clothes as well as handicraft items. Designed to look like a traditional town market, the stores here are set up by rural artisans who come to sell their handmade wares. Besides shopping, there are a few cultural programs held at Delhi Haat. A must visit for any traveler to the country’s capital.

Janpath and Connaught Place

This market is one of the most popular shopping destinations in India. At the Janpath market, you will locate a lot of products ranging from Tibetan good to normal Gujarati sarees, a variety of clothes, shoes, junk jewelry, and far more. The marketplace is a substantial hit with out-of-towners, shopping enthusiasts and the young Delhi crowd.

Sireh Deori Bazaar

Shopping in Agra

Sadar Bazaar

In the first place, Sadar Bazaar is one of one of the most famous Shopping spots of Agra Taj Mahal. It is situated near Agra Cantt railway station.  In close proximity to the Taj Mahal and the Agra fort, Sadar Bazaar is a bustling marketplace that houses hundreds of tiny shops selling everything from ethnic clothes and accessories to leather goods and shoes.
