Day 1Arrival in Varanasi

Once you arrive at Varanasi airport, we will pick you up from the airport.
Then you can check in to a hotel.
In the evening, witness the major attraction of Varanasi – The grand Aarti ceremony, which is performed by several priests on the banks of River Ganges. No doubt, it is a spectacle to watch. For, it is a perfect example of the ancient tradition of river worship in India. We will have a guide who will find you the perfect spot to watch the spectacle.
 
You will see a team of priests perform a series of synced rituals. These include circling brass lamps, offering flowers, circling incense sticks and others. During this time, hundreds of lamps float on the water. Watching the sight is truly phenomenal. If you want to get a better view of the evening aarti, you can even hire boats to watch it from the river.
 
After the ceremony in the evening, you can return to your hotel.

Day 2Varanasi and Sarnath Sightseeing

Post breakfast you may visit the following places :
 
• Sarnath – Sarnath is 10 km from Varanasi. Here you will get a glimpse of Buddhist architecture and culture contributing to the spiritual significance of Sarnath. Also it this place holds spiritual importance as Lord Buddha came to give his first sermon. It is one of the most revered Buddhist pilgrimage centers. It is believed that after attaining the Enlightenment at Bodh Gaya, it was here that Lord Buddha preached his first sermon. Popular sightseeing places in Sarnath include the Dhamekh Stupa and monastery ruins, the Archaeological Museum, the Chaukhandi Stupa, the Ashoka Pillar, the Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, and the Chinese and Thai Temple and Monastery.
 
Return to Varanasi post lunch.
 
You can also visit the weaver village. This tour will take you to Varanasi’s village life, where you can interact with the village folks and get to know the craftsmanship of the weavers with their distinct design. You will see the finest Banarasi sarees with gold and silver brocade or zari, fine silk and opulent embroidery are made here by these waivers.
If you have time, you may also visit the Ramnagar Fort and Museum. Built in red sandstone,this fort was the ancestral home for the Maharajas of Banaras. It also has a vintage museum that is famous for its rare collection of old American cars, ivory works, medieval costumes, and a huge astronomical clock.
 
In the evening, you might want to watch the evening aarti of the river Ganges once more. Its a sight and experience that never disappoints anyone.

Day 3Heritage Walk and Boat Ride. Depart from Varanasi

Today, wake up early morning during sunrise. We will take you for a Boat Ride on the river Ganga, which is an unparalleled experience. You would find a whole lot of activities performed by the natives. As you pass by, you will see a lot of activities on the banks of the river. Some will be taking bath, others washing clothes…some will be praying, the priests would be doing brisk business, bereaved son who lost his father or mother would be tonsured and praying, thick smoke would be coming out of some pyres where the dead would have been burned….

Take a heritage walk in the morning. Observe the Daily life of Natives on Streets of Varanasi and explore some famous Temples and Ghats like Kashi Vishwanath, Nepali temple ,Manikarnika Ghat , Durga devi Temple. As part of the Heritage Walk you can visit the famous Kashi Vishwanath Temple. It is not only the most important temple of Varanasi but is also one of the main temples for the Hindus. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas (self-manifested lingams) in India. The architecture of the temple is noteworthy. Because of the gold used in the making of the tall spire and the dome, it is also known as the Golden Temple. The temple structure is a series of smaller shrines.
